Our watertight SMC manhole covers for gas stations are engineered to address the unique safety and operational demands of fueling facilities, a sector where reliability and hazard prevention are paramount. Crafted from high-grade SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) via advanced high-temperature compression molding, these covers boast exceptional structural integrity—capable of withstanding heavy loads up to 60 tons (meeting E600 load rating standards) to safely accommodate the constant traffic of passenger cars, SUVs, and heavy-duty fuel trucks at gas stations . What sets this product apart is its industry-leading watertight performance, complying with IPX6 waterproof and dustproof standards to effectively seal manhole openings, preventing rainwater, dust, and fuel spills from infiltrating underground chambers and safeguarding critical equipment such as oil pumps, valves, and fuel lines .
Safety is further enhanced by the covers' anti-static properties, which adhere to national electrostatic safety regulations for liquid petroleum products, eliminating the risk of electrostatic sparks that could ignite flammable vapors . Unlike traditional cast iron covers, our SMC manhole covers have no recycling value, naturally deterring theft and eliminating the "urban black hole" hazards that threaten public safety and facility operations . Additionally, the lightweight design (only 1/3 the weight of cast iron equivalents) facilitates easy installation, inspection, and maintenance, reducing labor intensity and operational costs significantly .
To meet the diverse operational needs of gas stations, our SMC manhole covers offer customizable features: optional central or side oil measurement holes allow for convenient daily oil level checks without removing the entire cover, while dual-hole designs for oil unloading and vapor recovery optimize space utilization—critical for urban gas stations with limited land . Available in multiple colors (black, red, yellow, green, blue), the covers enable color-coding by fuel type, simplifying management and enhancing on-site safety .
